Book Haul [1]

Welcome to the first book haul of my blog!

A couple days ago I got to work and found a box of books with my name on it! (Seriously, my dream come true!) Inside were some ARCs - and one comp! - some of which I requested, some of which were a surprise, all of which I'm super pumped for:

Save the Date by Morgan Matson
Fiction, 432 pages
June 5, 2018 from Simon & Schuster
goodreads | pre-order - all first editions will be signed!

There are a lot of great books in this haul, but this one has to be the one I'm most excited for! I've read three of the four published Matson books and have loved them all. This one is set at a wedding (perfect for a breezy spring/summer contemporary read) and it kind of looks like Once and For All but with a more comical streak. Can't wait!

I Have Lost My Way by Gayle Forman
Fiction, 368 pages
April 1, 2018 from Penguin Teen
goodreads | pre-order | read an excerpt!

I just wrote about this book in my anticipated reads post and lo-and-behold! A copy arrived! It's times like these where I feel like the universe has my back. This one follows three strangers and one event that brings them together, and it promises to be as "emotionally cathartic" (read: a sucker punch to the feels) as her previous works. I know Gayle Forman is a hit-or-miss author for most, are you a fan?

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
Fantasy, 352 pages
April 24, 2018 from Wednesday Books
goodreads | pre-order

Of the group, this is the book I knew the least about. The cover is arresting (my ARC has a little peekaboo that says: OND ELDER: BREATHE FIRE) and the back pitches it as "Part Wonder Woman. Part Vikings." To be honest, that doesn't sound particularly up my alley, buy holy cow are the reviews stellar! As of writing it has a 4.56 rating on goodreads with 373 ratings. I have a feeling this one is going to blow up.

Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman
Fantasy, 544 pages
Published February 27, 2018 by Random House
goodreads | print | audio

I already had a NetGalley copy of this one, but I mentioned to someone at my store that I was really anticipating it and they sent me a comp (a free hardcover). WHAT. IS. MY. LIFE. Now I just need to read Shadow Scale so I don't get spoiled for this one.

That's it for this haul! Let me know if you've read or are anticipating any of these books! Have you hauled anything good lately?

    1. Hey, thanks for stopping by! Have you read Seraphina? You can read Tess of the Road without reading Seraphina first, but I 100% recommend it, it’s one of my favorite books of all time. Tess is supposed to be a little more dark I think... I’ll definitely post a review when I read it!

    1. Thanks! I'm super pumped to read those ones, too. Both authors are like, queens of Contemporary! in different ways.
